Qiang Zhong was born on August 10th, 1992, in the village of Song Bo near the town of Dong Xi in Sichuan province. Born into an impoverished family of farmers, Qiang had an enduring childhood.
Athletic, energetic, and extroverted, Yue began to have teary eyes while he was telling us about the plight of his family. Yue's father had suddenly fallen ill six months before. He was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. The family's bread-winner became bed-ridden.
Clad in a traditional outfit of a Mongolian girl, accompanied by a troupe of fellow dancers, Min floats gracefully across the stage decorated as a far-flung grassland as if she is riding a horse. Synchronized with the cheerful grassland music are Min's agile dance moves. A young shepherdess is vividly alive on stage.
